Resizing Text

This section list ways to increase and/or decrease the font size on both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Windows

To increase the size of the fonts/letters on this or any page, please press the CTRL and + keys at the same time. Pressing the CTRL and - keys at the same time will reduce the fonts/letters size.

Mac

To increase the size of the fonts/letters on this or any page, please press the Open Apple (Command) and + keys at the same time. Pressing the Open Apple (Command) and - keys at the same time will reduce the fonts/letters size.



Pop-Ups

This section list ways to disable/enable pop-up blocking on several different types of browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Chrome, and Safari.

Internet Explorer

How to disable/enable the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer 8:

Click on Tools, click Pop-up Blocker, click Turn off Pop-up Blocker (If already off, it will offer an option to Turn on Pop-up Blocker)

How to disable/enable the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer 7:

Click on Tools, click Pop-up Blocker, click Turn off Pop-up Blocker (If already off, it will offer an option to Turn on Pop-up Blocker) confirm by clicking the Yes button.

How to disable/enable the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer 6:

Click on Tools, click Pop-up Blocker, click Turn off or on Pop-up Blocker

Firefox

How to disable/enable the pop-up blocker in Firefox (all modern versions from 2.0.9 to present v3.6.3):

Click Tools, click Options, choose the Content Tab (uncheck for off, check for on, or configure options).

Google Chrome

How to disable/enable the pop-up blocker in Google Chrome:

Click on tools (the wrench icon in the upper right tool bar), click Options, click Under the Hood, click Content Settings, click Popups Tab (optional settings). Block popups is on by default, choose the option to unblock.

Safari

How to disable/enable the pop-up blocker in Safari (version 5.0):

Click the tools button in the upper right, make sure block pop-up windows is unchecked. Alternatively do the following: Click Edit (if you have the menu bar), make sure block pop-up windows is unchecked.



Enabling JavaScript

We recommend that Java be installed and enabled to use the Help resources pages. To install Java, click on the Java Icon below and follow the directions on their website for installing. If you can not or do not wish to use Java, you can view the non-javascript version of the State and Federal resource page and the Get Answers page.

Internet Explorer 6

Click on Tools, Internet Options, Security, click on each Internet Zone you want Java enabled for (one at a time) and select the Custom Level button, scroll down to Java Script and select enable for this zone. You will have to do this for each of the four zones, Internet, Intranet, Restricted Sites, and Trusted Sites.

Internet Explorer 7 & 8

Click on Tools, Internet Options, Programs Tab, Manage Add-ons button, under Add-on type, click on Toolbars and Extensions, Click on Java, click Enable, click close, click OK.

Firefox

Click Tools, select Options, click Content, check Enable JavaScript, click OK.

Google Chrome

Click on the Tool Icon at the end of the address bar. Click Options, Click the Under the hood Tab, in Privacy, click Content Settings, under Features, click on Java Script, click the button Allow all sites to run JavaScript, click Close.

Safari

Select Preferences from the Safari menu, Click Security, Check Enable JavaScript, Close the window, Click Reload.

Enabling Cookies

In order for Help Resources and Get Answers to work properly, cookies must be enabled. Without cookies enabled, when going to a resource, the back button will not allow you to go back to the page you were on. You will be routed to a blank page. With cookies enabled, when you click the back button, you will be returned to the page you were on.

If you do not wish to enable cookies, we strongly suggest you use the non-javascript version of Help Resources.

Internet Explorer 6, 7, & 8

Click on Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, click on the Advanced button, choose the appropriate selection for First-party or Third-party Cookies (or always allow option), click OK.

Firefox

Click Tools, select Options, click Privacy, check Accept Cookies from sites, click OK.

Google Chrome

Click on the Tool Icon at the end of the address bar. Click Options, Click the Under the hood Tab, click Content Settings in the Privacy section, under Features, click the Cookies Tab, Make sure "Allow local data to be set" is selected to allow both first-party and third-party cookies. If you only want to accept first-party cookies, select the "Block all third-party cookies without exception" checkbox. click Close.

Safari

Select Preferences from the Safari menu, Click Security, Check Always, or only from sites you navigate to, Close the window, Click Reload.



Printing

Areas in this site that have many resources listed, such as Help and Get Answers, can be printed. All sections will have a "print version" button usually located at the top of the document. The "print version" is in a pdf format and does require an Adobe reader. All "print versions" have been optimized to exclude web page navigation. You can get the Adobe Reader by clicking on the icon below.
